Grilled Cheeze, Pleeze!: 3 Ways

Basic grilled cheeze with a spicy chipotle Vegan mayo dipping sauce and a side of steamed broccoli.

Type of cheeze used: 2 slices of Follow your Heart, Earth Island cheddar.

Recipe for spicy chipotle Vegan mayo can be found on the following link:

To steam the broccoli I put a metal strainer over a pot of boiling water, with the broccoli in the strainer and a lid on top of it. I steamed the broccoli for approximately 4 - 5 minutes. Approximately 1/3 of the pot should have water in it. Once it starts boiling the broccoli will catch the steam and it will start to cook.

Pulled jackfruit with coleslaw grilled cheeze and a side of fresh baked fries + Tofutti sour cream mixed with Sriracha for dipping.

Type of cheeze used: Chao tomato cayenne, 2 slices.

The dipping sauce has 2 TBSP of Tofutti sour cream to 1 - 2 tsp's of Sriracha.

Recipe for jackfruit and coleslaw can be found on the following link:

Recipe for the fresh baked french fries can be found on the following link:

Reuben grilled cheeze with sauerkraut + Seitan and straight up Tofutti sour cream for dipping.

Type of cheeze used: Chao tomato cayenne, 2 slices.

Type of sauerkraut used: any store bought jar will do.

For the dipping sauce I used 2 TBSP of Tofutti sour cream.

Pre-heat the Seitan for about 30 - 45 seconds in the frying pan per side before assembling your sandwich. If you're using a microwave, I believe you'll only need 10 - 15 seconds in total, if that. You can also just put it right in the sandwich without pre-heating; however, make sure you cook the sandwich longer, but on lower heat and push the sandwich down with your flipping utensil. **hahaha FLIPPING utensil. Sounds like I'm saying something else!**

Special note to be extra cautious when flipping this over. It can be a hearty sandwich depending on how large you make it. As they say, go big or go home! Or as I say, go vegan or go home! lol

Recipe for the Seitan can be found in the following link:

The bread that was used for all of the above grilled cheeze sandwiches was Honest Wellness in Chia and Supergrains. For 2 slices it has 160 calories, 7 grams of fibre, 9 grams of protein and 15 % of your daily Iron based on a 2000 calorie diet, I believe. The bread is Vegan, free of added fat, dairy or soy. It's also free of artificial preservatives and additives.

To grill each sandwich I used the same strategy, that being; 1 tsp of Earth Balance traditional spread on each slice of bread. It should be placed on the side of each slice of bread that is contacting the frying pan.
Cook for approximately 3 minutes per side on medium heat. Be careful when you first flip to the other side. You don't want it to fall apart. 😜 Once done, serve & enjoy!
